Common questions

Straight answers about how custom work and studio pieces actually work here.

How does a custom project start?

You send a description (and photos or rough dimensions if you have them) through the quote form. We reply with questions if needed, then a clear written quote — price, timeline, and what’s included — before any work begins.

Do you take a deposit?

Yes. Custom commissions typically require a deposit to hold the slot and cover materials. The balance is due before delivery or install. Studio pieces (like address blocks) are often paid in full or with a smaller deposit.

How long does a piece take?

It depends on the project and current queue. Many custom furniture pieces land in the 4–10 week range. Studio pieces such as address blocks are usually faster — often 2–3 weeks. You’ll get a realistic timeline with the quote.

Can I change the design after we start?

Small adjustments are usually fine early on. Bigger changes after materials are cut or welding has started may affect price and timeline. We’ll tell you clearly before moving forward.

Do you deliver or install?

Local delivery and install in the Central Texas area can be arranged. Longer-distance shipping is possible for many pieces — we’ll include options and costs in the quote when relevant.

What’s the difference between custom work and studio pieces?

Custom = designed and built specifically for you (tables, art, one-offs). Full conversation and quote.

Studio pieces = set designs (like steel address blocks) built to your details — size, numbers, finish. Simpler order process, still made in the same shop.

Do you do repairs, trailers, or structural work?

Select repair and custom fabrication jobs are available by inquiry. The studio’s main focus is furniture and welded art, but if you have something else in mind, ask — we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s a fit.

Where are you located?

Liberty Hill, Texas (Central Texas). Work is done in a small studio shop. Visits can be arranged by appointment when it makes sense for the project.

Still have a question?

Send it with your project details — we’ll answer as part of the conversation.
